Poor quality products
I grew tired of the poor quality 'fast fashion' outlets, opting for the advertised 'quality' products and materials from G Star.
Unfortunately, now on two occasions, I have been disappointed in the quality of the fabric. Most recently I bought shorts, and after about after about 5 wears they tore due to clear poor quality materials and stitching.
After contacting G Star, I was happy to receive a reply (hence 2 star), however they assured me that 'Every article in our collection has a different warranty' and this item did not fit within this.
Therefore, be aware that G Star's quality assurance isn't across the board, it applies to particular articles, which seemingly they can pick and choose.
They did offer me a 10% discount on next order......
I'd advise buying other 'luxury' brands.
Over two months past, still no refund!
I had ordered a pair of jeans, and paid for them, only to receive an email the next day that my order was canceled due to the items not being available because of an availability mix-up, etc.... okay fine, it happens.
Now over two months have passed, still, no refund, have sent two emails to customer service, and received one reply a week after (they list that they reply within 24hrs mind you!), gave the info again, another week has passed and still nothing.
This is completely unacceptable!

I loved their clothes while I lived in the Netherlands, but man o man, your company is so F annoying with the emails. I have unscribed a million times from your newsletter even marked as spam in gmail but somehow you keep pushing through.

Terrible customer service
I did raise an issue to customer service by email with the coat that I bought for my partner in January 2020 for his birthday.
Coat was barely used due to covid, but had a little stain on it so I thought ill take it to dry cleaners and have it washed professionally.
I did give two coats to wash , both from G Star . one green and one navy blue .
Navy blue was the one barely used and green one since March 2019 .
I have even provided order number for the navy blue as I’ve ordered it online but green one we bought in Amsterdam and don’t have the receipt anymore.
Both coats came back from dry cleaners much faded and clearly colour has leaked.
I was very much disappointed with the quality of the coats as they were in nearly brand new condition and now they look horrible. ?
Even tho that green one was a little older before dry cleaning it was in very good shape and color was keeping well .
So I have got in touch with the dry cleaners and they have processed everything correctly according to wash tag.
i even attached letter and photos to show how badly navy coat got affected.
Someone from customer service replied that navy blue coat was bought long time ago and they can’t do anything about it .
And then I replied that we literally had Covid for the last two years and most of the people worked from home and coats very barely used in that time .
I asked if the issue can be raised to a manager to see if anything can be done and I literally was ignored .
We’ve always been loyal customers to g start and never expected respond like that .
Right now coats looks horrible and very faded, impossible to wear it .
And g star won’t even take responsibility for it with two year Covid gap .
Very bad .

You mentioned 2019 year but forgot to mention January 2020 ?
Of course I’m not expecting for you to look into something I bought in 2019 .
I’ve only mentioned green one to explain that it also leaked color.
What I wanted is a solution for the navy blue as I’ve mentioned above I only had receipt for that one .
So why not look into this ?
You guys are jokes, nothing like the G start that it used to be before Covid .
I agree with other comments here, you have gone down the hill and quality isn’t the same as it used to be .
Wrong size on label no refund
Sent out jeans with 36,36 on the label, measured them, they are 34. Have photos, won't take them back as I removed the label.
Customer service is so bad it hard to believe.
Wearing Gstar since 1997. I am on a war path with GStarr now,,,
The reply below ignores the fact that they made the error. Customer service is woeful.

If I could give 0 stars, I would.
Returns note was not enclosed and when I requested one to be sent via the post, the document was emailed across. I explained we didn’t currently have a printer, but they weren’t interested at all - down to me to sort out the return paperwork.
I then asked for a manager to contact me, and was told, and I quote:
‘If you wanna talk to us on the phone, we kindly ask you to call our customer service… 0800-2794950’.
When I did what had been requested (under duress), I was told by Ariel, that it wasn’t possible to speak to a manager. He then hung up on me.
Quite possibly the worst company I have ever purchased from.

they take forever to ship your item and deliver and even longer to issue refunds apparently. Do not order from this site!! The quality sucks. The photos are false.

Run a Mile
If you want a G Star item buy it from a store or 3rd party as the website is awful, takes around 2 weeks in UK to get your delivery then if you return it I'm still awaiting my money back 4 weeks after returning the item, there return system is a nightmare, run a mile

Appaling service. I loved G-Star a very long Time ago, but then their quality went down and prices went up, stopped purchasing from them even though I did love them. As of late it seems their quality of clothing has gone up and their prices become a bit more reasonable so started purchasing from them again. Nothing but trouble and grief, I lost count how many email I've sent to them, it's such a shame because I was hoping to start getting my wardrobe from them again, but nope, not with that service no matter how nice their stuff is, very sad, good products extremely badly managed,
Empty box delivered
Ordered sandals. I received a huge box that could've fit 10 pairs of shoes. When I opened the box the shoe box inside was cut and no sandals inside. SCAM!

I ordered a pair of swim trunks with the discount code on this website for 47 dollars and some change. A few hours later they said they did not have those swim trunks available! The swim trunks are available but they are $80 now! This has to be a scam
